Knowledge of Geotextile
Geotextiles have excellent filtering, drainage, isolation, reinforcement, protection, with lightweight, high tensile strength, good permeability, high-temperature resistance, anti-freezing, anti-aging, anti-corrosion characteristics. The application of geosynthetics originated in the 1950s. Geosynthetics in China is one of the national eighth five-year plans. In 1998, China promulgated the standard of geosynthetics staple fiber needle-punched non-woven geosynthetics (GB/ t17638-1998), and geosynthetics have been widely used in many fields.
Geotextiles mainly have the following three series
1. An acupuncture non-woven geotextile, the specification of 100 g/m2-600 – g/m2 between arbitrary choice, the main raw material is to use polyester staple fiber and polypropylene fiber, by acupuncture method, the main purpose is: the river, sea, and lake embankment slope protection, wai from land, wharf, lock flood-prevention project, by returning to filter water and soil conservation and the effective ways to prevent piping.
2. Needle-punched non-woven cloth and PE film composite geotextile, with specifications of one cloth, one film, two cloth, and one film, the maximum width is 4.2 meters. The main raw material is polyester staple fiber needle-punched non-woven cloth.
3. Non-woven and non-woven composite geotextiles, of which the varieties are non-woven and polypropylene filament weaved composite, non-woven and plastic weaved composite, are suitable for basic engineering facilities to strengthen the foundation and adjust the permeability coefficient.
Features: Lightweight, low cost, corrosion resistance, anti – filtration, drainage, isolation, enhancement, and other excellent performance.
