Non-woven fabric is made of fiber mesh and consolidation

Non-woven fabric is made of fiber mesh and consolidation. The fiber has a three-dimensional structure, good ductility, and mechanical properties. Different materials and processes can be used to design fabrics with a wide range of structural features and different properties. Because of its excellent performance, simple processing, and low cost, it is the main direction for the development of geotextiles in various industries.

Non-woven geotextiles have various uses, and their application functions in engineering can be summarized as reinforcement, protection, drainage, filtration, and isolation. At present, it is widely used in road and railway roadbed reinforcement, coast, riverbank protection, water and soil erosion control, wharves, tunnels, caves, flood control, and disaster relief projects, and garbage landfills, hazardous waste landfills, and mine tailings reservoirs.

Different landfills have different types of solid waste, and the slag produced by various mines is also different, which makes the leachate produced by landfills and tailings ponds have different acid-base characteristics. For example, due to the degradation of organic matter, waste sanitary landfills often produce a lot of acidic substances, making the leachate acidic; the red mud tailings pond uses strong alkali sodium hydroxide as a dissolving agent in the alumina smelting process. Make the red mud and its attached liquid have strong alkalinity. In addition, the pH of gold tailings is 10-12, and the pH of phosphogypsum is 1.5-4.5. In engineering applications, different acid-base exposure environments often lead to different degrees of decline in the physical and chemical properties of non-woven geotextiles, thereby adversely affecting the quality of the entire project.
