Technical performance of high density polyethylene geomembrane
The landfill adopts an anti-seepage structure of “one pad, one film, and two cloths”. The anti-seepage layer is made of a 2mm thick flat extruded film with a double rough surface. The technical properties of the high quality textured geomembrane are as follows: tear strength 280, Newton, puncture strength 700 Newton, tensile breaking strength 42 nanometers, tensile breaking elongation 400%, density specific gravity 0.94 g/cm².
The landfill area should be constructed in strict accordance with the construction drawings. The foundation surface at the bottom of the site should be compacted repeatedly to ensure that its surface is smooth and free of unevenness. There should be no mud, masonry, ceramic tiles, spikes, hard debris, tree roots, weeds, and other possibilities. Foreign objects that damage the impermeable material.
1. The construction unit shall ensure sufficient welding equipment to ensure that continuous operations will not be interrupted due to insufficient welding equipment.
2. Before welding, necessary test welding should be performed on the provided impermeable material samples to ensure the correct welding performance, welding method, and welding temperature before the formal welding.
3. Test welding should be carried out more than twice a day, before and during welding. If the temperature changes more than 11°C, test welding should also be performed.
The surface of the high quality LDPE geomembrane should be inspected before laying, and there should be no oil, fuel, or splashing chemicals or spots. Keep the geotechnical material layer under the membrane clean and free of any stones and debris. The geomembrane must not contain mud, dust, dirt, and debris.
Geomembrane cutting should be carried out in a flat, wide, free of hard impurities, and numbered and recorded one by one. It is not allowed to lay in rainy weather, strong wind, and the temperature is lower than 0℃ or higher than 40℃, and the high quality environmental geomembrane or other geotechnical materials must not wrinkle during construction. In general, in order to avoid arching, the welding between the slope and the bottom geomembrane must fully expand and contract the geomembrane and choose the time to cool down sooner or later for construction.
If folding, folding, or arching occurs, it must be relayed or cut to eliminate it. When the geomembrane slope is greater than 10%, the installation direction must be parallel to the maximum slope line, and when it is laid to the top and bottom of the slope, the extension is more than 1.5m. The joints and irregular geometric shapes at the corners should be minimized, and the length of the joints should be as short as possible. During the laying process, check the wholesale HDPE geomembrane for damage, waterline, pitted surface, holes, creases, and other defects, and replace or repair the unqualified products in time.
